East Preston, West Sussex, UK
Situated on the coast of West Sussex in the
Arun district, East Preston is a village often
popular as a retirement area. The village is
sometimes called Angmering-on-sea.
East Preston is well known for its local tennis
club, the Angmering-on-sea Lawn Tennis Club
which is very popular with locals and with
people in the surrounding areas.
There is relatively easy access to the surrounding
areas via the train station in Angmering and
a bus route that goes though the village. The
nearest town is Rustington, which is a short
walk away just over 1.5 miles to the west.
East Preston F.C. is a football club based
in East Preston. It was originally formed in
1947 and were the founding members of the Sussex
County Football League Division Three in 1983.
The club folded in less than a decade but it
was reformed, as the present Club in 1966 when
it was elected to the Worthing League. Last
Season East Preston F.C. came in 16th position
in the Sussex County Football League Division
One.
